A green facade acts as a living insulation layer: the plants absorb part of the solar radiation and lower the facade's surface temperature directly, instead of that heat transferring into the building.
On the Green Oasis Tower project, we recorded a measurable drop in cooling load on the facades covered by the green system compared to the adjacent conventional facades.
The biggest difference appears on the upper floors directly exposed to sunlight, where the temperature difference on the facade surface is most pronounced.
